Mental Health

Pathways and Three Rivers Medical Center are the lead agencies for the Mental Health priority issue.

Goals will be accomplished on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis continuing throughout the CHIP cycle. Workgroups will meet at least quarterly to review progress toward meeting goals. Workgroups will report progress to the Health Action Team on a quarterly basis. This plan is a living document and goals will be updated as needed.

Priority Issue #3: Foster a Culture that Supports Mental Health

Goal #1: Increase awareness about mental health resources in Lawrence County.

• Compile a list of available resources for mental health services by March 31, 2024.
• Develop and disseminate a Resource Guide of mental health resources by June 30, 2024.
• Develop a strategic marketing campaign to promote 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by January 31, 2024.

Goal #2: Reduce the stigma of mental health and seeking treatment for mental health.

• Develop a strategic marketing campaign to increase general community awareness of mental health issues, decrease stigma, and normalize mental health support and treatment by December 2024.
• Develop a social media campaign and disseminate a minimum of 2 messages per month addressing mental health stigma with personal testimonies by December 2024.
